About the Facade Grant
We have a responsibility to present our town in its best finery, as it was given to ensuing generations with the intention that we preserve its original charm and add to it wherever possible. Like the Scouts who are to "leave it better than they found it." The Facade Committee will be rewarding those endeavors within the community and drawing attention to what is possible when civic pride is in play.
Who is eligible?
Facade Improvement Awards are given to businesses, governmental buildings and private residences in Washburn that have shown exceptional sensitivity to preserving or enhancing historic Washburn buildings.
How to Apply
The facade grants are periodically awarded based on available funds. A call for applications will be announced through the newsletter, website and social media posts. The next anticipated grant cycle may occur in 2025.
